This dashboard scores every ANZSCO occupation in Australia for how exposed its tasks are to current AI capabilities, using task-level time weightings rather than a single job-level label. A high score means a large share of the role's time is spent on tasks AI can already substitute or meaningfully augment, not that the role is about to disappear.

  • Average AI exposure across the Australian workforce is approximately 25.8%, based on matching real Australian job tasks to the Anthropic Economic Index.
  • The most exposed occupations include Records Managers, Financial Investment Advisers, and Statistical Clerks - roles built heavily from research, analysis, and clerical tasks that map closely to today's AI capabilities.
  • Exposure varies by state and territory: the ACT has the highest average exposure (around 32%), reflecting its office- and public-sector-heavy workforce, while Tasmania has the lowest (around 22%).
  • Exposure is a measure of task overlap with current AI capability, not a prediction of job loss - most exposed time is augmentable rather than fully automatable.
